In addition to a lot of events about usability, UPA singapore also organized many events to build the community relationship, like drinking session, outing cycling. The cycling with famous Professors in human factors like Prof Chris Wicken and Prof Martin Helander not only strengthened the member relationships, but also created an great opportunity for the members to discuss with the Experts in Human factors.
UPA singapore has been invited to participate in 'The Living Room' - a popular radio show in Singapore on Nov 22nd, 2007. The theme of the show is ' Going Ergo' and the topics includes value of good design, usability and workspace ergonomics. It was a great opportunity for UPA singapore to reach out to a nation-wide, diverse set of stakeholders. It also greatly promoted the reputation of UPA.
As part of the activities of Singapore Design Festival, UPA Singapore hosted the design integration seminar together with Motorola. The seminar included speakers from Motorola Design team, giving an insight into design innovation. It also invited professors to talk about user-centered design. The event also includes a showcase of Motorola’s lasted products.
